8 Yet, O LORD, you are our Father.
We are the clay, you are the potter;
we are all the work of your hand.
i'm not job, but i'm sure going through alot right now. one thing i learned is that before a breakthrough blessing, whether it be in your ministry, in your marriage, or in your discipleship, the devil loves brining us discouragement, a sense of doubt or lack of trust in God. fact is, the minute your life turns upside down, the wisest thing to do is praise God because your victory is just around the corner.
it's funny how God speaks to us, and reminds us of stuff. i mean, it's not always on a billboard or through a book or through a dream-- i mean for reaaaal, God is so creative.
i was called over by my neighbor to help her make a clay bunny for her 4th grade cousin's project. i was like whatever maynn and took a chunk of clay from the bulk in the box. it was cold and hard and it didn't mold easy when i tried molding it into a ball to make the bunny's face. i looked at the instructions(yes there were instructions... and yes people use them.) and it said to put water on your finger tips to knead clay easier and make clay softer.
the instrustions went as follows:
to soften, water may be added when the clay is too dry to mold easily. when unused, wrap clay in damp cloth.
to model, knead clay in your hands to even out moisture and increase plasticity. model clay with hands or modeling tools if you want.
for joining clay, take one piece of clay and knead it with a small amount of water and vinegar until you have a thick slip. use this slip as a joining medium during modeling or a patching medium after drying. to attach pieces together, score and use a dab of vinegar or the joining slip and firmly push together.
feelin' me?
God made us out of clay, but He still molds our insides. He molds us through trials and tests, in our sufferings He molds our character. it's like when you ask for patience. when you ask God for anything, it's not always just there, you gotta work for it.
God keeps us in the palm of His hands and starts rolling us and patting us down. He kneads us with His thumbs and rolls us into spheres in His palms. when the edges are rough and we can't be shaped, He can either soak us, or put the water can be prophetic words, preachings, retreats, etc. this makes us softer and pretty much is like a break. God then starts molding us with more ease, and less pain, and quicker. God's molding me in these difficult times... it's for His glory.
i'm just praying for God to water me soon. I'm quite thirsty.

btw i love your DevID!
